Symbicort® Turbuhaler® 100/6, 200/6 & 400/12
Symbicort Turbuhaler contains budesonide 100μg, 200μg per dose (preventer) and eformoterol 6μg (symptom controller) or budesonide 400μg and eformoterol 12μg per dose. Symbicort is indicated for the regular treatment of asthma and moderate to severe COPD.
Specific criteria apply for the use and funding of Symbicort. Not all patients are eligible for treatment with Symbicort. Ask your doctor if Symbicort is right for you. Use strictly as directed. Symbicort should not be initiated as emergency treatment for severe exacerbations or for patients with acutely worsening asthma symptoms. Symbicort is partially funded under certain criteria.
Do not use if you are allergic to budesonide or eformoterol. Tell your doctor if you have thyroid problems, heart problems, diabetes, problems with potassium levels, pregnancy, breast-feeding.
Common side effects include mild irritation in the throat, coughing, hoarseness, thrush (fungal infection in mouth and throat), headache, trembling, fast or irregular heartbeat. Rarely, allergic reactions.

Vannair™ Inhaler 100/6 & 200/6
Vannair Inhaler contains budesonide 100μg or 200μg per dose (preventer) and eformoterol 6μg (symptom controller). Vannair is indicated for the regular treatment of asthma where use of inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting beta agonist is appropriate.
Vannair is fully funded under certain criteria. Not all patients are eligible for treatment with Vannair. Ask your doctor if Vannair is right for you. Use strictly as directed.
